Operation Christmas Child Kick-off
All Church
It's Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Kickoff Weekend! Join us as we begin this year's shoebox ministry and help share the love of Christ with children around the world. Pick up a shoebox (or boxes!), learn how to pack it, and be part of bringing joy, hope, and the message of the Gospel to a child in need. Stop by the display this weekend to get started—we can't wait to see what God will do through our Edgewood church family!
Dropoff Deadline: November 22
At Edgewood, we’re sharing authentic love and being disciples who make disciples by spreading good news and great joy by once again partnering with Operation Christmas Child. The mission of Operation Christmas Child is two-fold: To provide God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world through shoeboxes filled with Christmas gifts (toys, school supplies, and essential toiletries) and to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ at festive outreach events where children are surprised with these shoebox gifts.
Each box will go to a child who has never before received such a gift, and has likely never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The project delivers not only joy, but also gives a tangible expression of God’s love. Jesus authentically loved all people and we will too.
To REALLY make your gift shoebox shine, consider these guidelines:
- FUN: Include a "WOW" item.
- FULL: Pack it to the brim!
- PERSONALIZED: Add a personal note and photo.
