The Student Ministry Small Group Leader serves as a spiritual mentor and guide for high school students during the Sunday morning 9:00 AM Growth Group.
This role exists to help students grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ by building meaningful discipleship relationships, facilitating engaging biblical discussions, and modeling a Christ-centered life. The Small Group Leader helps to facilitate a welcoming and safe environment where students can ask questions, explore Scripture, and be encouraged in their faith.
Through consistent presence, intentional conversation, and personal example, the Small Group Leader helps students connect biblical truth to everyday life while fostering a sense of community and belonging within the student ministry.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and facilitate a small group, weekly, under the direction and oversight of the Youth Pastor and Youth Pastor Assistant
Sunday morning small group Bible study discussions for high school students.
Cultivate authentic discipleship relationships by investing personally in the spiritual growth of students.
Foster meaningful conversation by encouraging participation, thoughtful questions, and application of Scripture.
Model a godly lifestyle that reflects Christian character, humility, and spiritual maturity.
Create a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment where students feel known and valued.
Pray regularly for students in the group and encourage them in their walk with Christ.
Communicate with student ministry leadership regarding student needs, concerns, or discipleship opportunities.
Support the overall mission and values of the church's student ministry.
